Juanita M. Dye, age 76, of Eldon, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at her home. She was born in Cherryville on October 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Clarence I. and Laura G. (Murray) Williams. On November 2, 1949, in Waynesville, she was married to Walter Eugene Dye, who survives at the home.
As a young girl, Juanita gave her heart to the Lord. She was a member of Aurora Springs Baptist Church. She was a dedicated nurse and enjoyed spending her time sewing, camping and listening to gospel music. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and knew her.
Others who survive her include: Two daughters, Brenda Harmon of California and Janet Bilbary and husband Don of Newburg; one son, David Dye of Eldon; four grandchildren, Angela Scott, Zachary Pinzke, LaRae Cotten and Tyler Dye; three great grandchildren, Joshua and Leelan Scott and Cierra Riggs; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Cordell Williams of Richland and numerous nieces and nephews.
Two grandsons, David Paul Dye and Douglas Lynn Dye and an infant brother, also preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Rev. Don Bilbary and Rev. John Dearing will officiate. Interment will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a Nursing Scholarship Fund in Memory of Juanita M. Dye, the Alzheimer's Association or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
