Juanita Leona Harrison, age 83, of Iberia, died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Osage Beach Healthcare Center. She was born in Miller County on April 17, 1922, a daughter of Willie J. and Velma Eunice (Moneymaker) Cochran. In June 1945, she was married to Charley Allen Harrison, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2004.
She had previously worked at Holiday Inn at Lake Ozark and loved gardening and quilting. She was baptized as a young girl and attended Brumley Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Eula Mae Cochran of Iberia and Alice Mitchell and husband, Warren of Brumley; four brothers, Glen Cochran of Iberia, Billy Cochran of Brumley, David Cochran and wife, Birdene of Brumley, and Danny Cochran and wife, Carol of Iberia; three grandchildren, Mike Green, Bill Green, and Melissa Prather all of Iberia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, George W. Harrison and an infant son; four brothers, Glenneth, Denny, Andy, and Leroy Cochran; and two sisters, Verna Luttrell and Dorothy Phillips.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Billy Claiborn officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
