Junior Brumley, age 81, of Eldon, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. He was born on October 5, 1927, in Brumley, son of Andrew and Frances (Duncan) Brumley. On September 6, 1968, in Eldon, he was married to Rose Spurgeon, who preceded him in death in 1993. On July 22, 1994, in Eldon, he was married to Emma Jean Duncan, who survives at the home.

He was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church in Eldon.

Other survivors include seven children, Gary Brumley, Donna Albertson, Pamela Brumley, Danny Brumley, Dewayne Basham, Ronnie Vernon, and Robin White; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Joe Brumley; and one sister, Zola Hock.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
