Karen Ann (Humphrey) Bishop, age 47, of Brumley, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Tuscumbia on July 16, 1969, daughter of Jewell Francis and Kathryn Pearl (Graham) Humphrey. On May 15, 1999, at the Ulman Baptist Church, Karen married Robert Bishop, who survives at the home.
Karen is a 1987 graduate of School of the Osage. After high school, Karen attended Southwest Baptist and later Central Missouri State where she graduated with her accounting degree. Following graduation, Karen went to work for Nursing Home Management Consultants for several years. She was recently employed for 10 years at the Lake Ozark Fire Department as an accountant.
Karen served as lieutenant of the Civil Air Patrol and was a member of the Ulman Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Robert Bishop, she is also survived by her father, Jewell Humphrey; two daughters, Tricia Bishop and Sierra Bishop; one son, David Bishop; one sister, Connie Wilson and husband Lynn of Brumley; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn Humphrey.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Kevin Blackburn will officiate. Interment will be in Gott Cemetery near Ulman.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, at the funeral home.
