Kathryn "Kathy" Shelton, age 66, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Iberia on June 17, 1952, daughter of the late Kenneth and Golida (Brooks) Wall. On January 23, 1970, at Iberia Christian Church in Iberia, Kathy married James Shelton, who survives at their home.

Kathy was a past member of Red Hatters and enjoyed playing co-ed softball. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Kathy was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Ulman.

In addition to her loving husband, James, she is also survived by one daughter, Kristi Rodden and husband Jamie Dean of Iberia; son, Jamie Shelton of St. Louis; two granddaughters, Jana Rodden and Mariah Rodden both of Iberia; great-grandchildren, Akadia Thornton and Brian Sasseen; niece, Mindy McThompson; two sisters, Diane Cooper of Brumley and Faye Tucker of Mexico; her aunt, Loetta Herrell; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Cannella.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Wednesday, September 19, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with David Visser officiating. Interment will be held in Madden Cemetery near Iberia.
