Kenneth J. Carico, age 84, of Ulman, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Ulman on January 21, 1931, son of the late Otis and Oma (Cox) Carico. On August 10, 1950, in Kaiser, Kenneth married Marilyn Graham, who survives at the home.
Kenneth was a turkey farmer in Miller County for many years. He also worked at Brockman Novelty and Osage Products. In his spare time, Kenneth enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and friends. He was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Ulman.
In addition to his wife, Marilyn, he is also survived by two daughters, Betty Peterson and Patti Carico both of Ashland; three sons, Kenny Carico and wife Susan of Ulman, James Carico and wife Melissa of Brumley, and Darin Carico and wife Melissa of Ulman; 13 grandchildren, Eric Peterson, Ryan Peterson, Leah Hernandez, Ola Peterson, Kayla Carico, Dustin Carico, Sarah Visser, Jennifer Snodgrass, Travis Carico, Ashley Musick, Tyler Carico, Taylor Carico, and Kaitlyn Carico; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. David Visser and Harold Elson will officiate. Interment will be in Gott Cemetery in Ulman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at the funeral home.
