Kenneth "Dick" Conrad Scheulen, Sr., age 66, of Meta, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Meta on January 5, 1944, son of George and Elizabeth Marie (Schaffer) Scheulen. On March 2, 1985, in Meta, he married Donna Kaye Stroyick, who survives at the home.

Kenneth served his country during Vietnam in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus, a life member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the Roofers Union for over 30 years. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. Kenneth was also a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta.

He is also survived by his children, Elizabeth Wagner and husband Glenn of Odessa, Sheila McKeller and husband Richard of Aubrey, Texas, Ina Henry and husband Corey of Calwood, Kenneth Scheulen, Jr. of Meta, and Adam Scheulen of Meta; two stepchildren, Danny Hake, Jr. and wife Jamie of Jefferson City and Misty Miller of Jefferson City; ten grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Genevieve Branch of Meta, Geraldine Berry of Dixon, Raymond Scheulen of Kila, Montana, Jeannette Ripka of Meta, Daniel "Buck" Scheulen of Meta, Dianna Schubert of Meta, Linda Pace of Holt Summit, Richard Scheulen of Meta, and Melvin Scheulen of Meta; mother-in-law, Alice Stroyick of Iberia; family, friends, and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta. Rev. Mark Porterfield will officiate. Interment with military honors will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., on Monday, April 12, at the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Hall in St. Thomas.
