Kenneth "Buck" Iral Douglas Jr., age 86, of Olean, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at his home. He was born in Mansfield on February 29, 1932, son of the late Kenneth and Ida May (Slate) Douglas, Sr. On June 27, 1965, in Independence, Kenneth married Rosemary Luttrell, who preceded him in death on March 9, 2016.

Buck served in the United States Navy from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1956.

He is survived by one son, Kevin Douglas and wife Susan of Eldon; four daughters, Marilyn Conway of Kansas City, Shelia Dennis and husband George of Grandview, Janet McGowan and husband Terry of Crocker, and Jeanne Carrall of Lenexa, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Burton of Iberia, Patty Clinton of Holt, and Sharon Sawyer of Independence; and his feline companion, Oliver the Cat.

In addition to his parents and loving wife, Rosemary, he was also preceded in death by one son, Steve Cottrell; grandson, Jeremy Engelmohr; three brothers; two sisters; and his son-in-law, Tom Conway.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m., with services immediately following at 5 p.m., on Wednesday, August 1, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
