IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lane William
Kennedy
February 20, 1995 – June 23, 2018
Lane William Kennedy, age 23, of Crocker, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born in Lake Ozark on February 20, 1995, son of Russell Kennedy of Freeburg and Shanda (Phillips) Kennedy of Crocker.
Lane graduated Waynesville High School in 2013. On November 8, 2014 he was united in marriage to Larissa Steward.
A lover of the outdoors, Lane could be found spending most of his free time camping, floating, hunting and "back roading". Lane enjoyed basketball, soccer, and baseball – he truly knew the meaning of teamwork. Lane had chosen welding as his profession and took great pride in his work.
Lane never met a stranger and always had a huge smile on his face. That smile was driven by his heart which was even bigger. Lane made a lifelong impact on students with special needs who he added to his circle of friends. Lane truly loved his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Russell Kennedy (Geri) and Shanda Kennedy (Jim), he is also survived by his son, Bentley; brother, Bobby Ross Phillips and wife Alison of Iberia; sister, Mariyah Kennedy of Crocker; grandparents, Bob Phillips and wife Dee of Brumley, Kay Phillips and Ernie Mashburn of Iberia and Shirley Kennedy of Crocker; niece, Ellie; three nephews, Jaxin, Case, and Cooper; and many relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Russell Kennedy Sr. and grandmother, Faye Phillips.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with service immediately following at 12 (noon) on Thursday, June 28, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Brandon Kissinger officiating. Interment will be in Madden Cemetery near Iberia.
