IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry Gene
Catron
August 5, 1950 – May 5, 2020
Larry Gene Catron, age 69, passed quietly from this life on May 5, 2020, at Maranatha Village in Springfield, MO. He was born on August 5, 1950, in Iberia, MO, son of the late Raymond Felix Catron and Zedna Maxine (Meredith) Catron.
Larry graduated from Iberia R-V High School in 1968. Larry was a lover of music, travel, Jesus, and his family and friends. He was a well- known member of the Iberia and Willard communities, and later the Maranatha Village family. He loved riding his bicycle, ME TV, fried chicken and making people laugh. He was an active member of Iberia First Assembly of God and later regularly attended the Maranatha Chapel. He was loved by all who had the privilege to call him a friend.
Larry was a painter, a crossword puzzler, and a music enthusiast, regularly listening to gospel, bluegrass, and the Grand Ole Opry. He also enjoyed amazing friends and family with his ability to recall every song title on every page of both church hymnals.
Larry loved his family and friends fiercely and was a self – proclaimed "ladies' man." He always brought a kind spirit and lighthearted laughter to every gathering. He was a pure light who lived life simply and fully and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his brother, Edward Catron (Bonnie); two nieces, Edda Prater (Dan) and Peggy Franklin (Marvin); two nephews, Billy Catron (Susan) and Jim Catron (Tammy); and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A private family graveside service will be held in Iberia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Maranatha Village.
