Larry D. Plemmons, age 70, of Brumley, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012, at Osage Beach Healthcare Center. He was born in Tuscumbia on June 23, 1941, son of the late Perry Ernest and Altha Mae (Duncan) Plemmons.
Larry was an avid hunter and enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by four sons, Denny Plemmons of Cocoa, Florida, David Plemmons of Oklahoma, Keith Plemmons of Swedeborg, and Kevin Plemmons of Gladstone; two daughters, Linda Phillips of New Bloomfield and Lisa Phillips of St. Robert; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Junior Plemmons of Brumley; and two sisters, Norma Jean Blackburn of Kansas City and Janice Beard of Iberia.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Greg McClain will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 10, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
