Lea Ana Marie Woolery, age 59, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011, at University Hospital in Columbia. She was born in Tuscumbia on June 7, 1952, daughter of Farris and Ruby Lea (Forbis) Russell. On November 6, 1968, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church near Iberia, Lea Ana married Steven Ray Woolery, who preceded her in death on September 7, 2004.
Lea Ana was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian Church near Iberia.
She is survived by one son, Kerry Woolery and wife Bethany of Olathe, Kansas; two daughters, Tammy Miller and husband Fred of Iberia and Angela Vallair and husband Adam of Waynesville; seven grandchildren, Cassandra Abshier and husband Luke, Monica Surface, Heather Surface, Travis Danielson, John Surface, Devin Surface, and Mariah O'Bea; her father, Farris Russell of Iberia; one sister, Debbie Davenport of Salina, Kansas; five brothers, Bill Russell of Eldon, Bob Russell of Iberia, Jim Russell of Crocker, Tom Russell of Iberia, and John Russell of Eldon; and her uncle, Ralph Forbis.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Russell; one infant brother; and one sister, Mary Lou Russell.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Dennis Nichols will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, at the funeral home.
