Lemoine Sue Lawson, age 75, of Iberia, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Maries County on October 7, 1946, daughter of the late Orville and Edith (Barnhart) Copeland.
Lemoine had a strong work ethic and was always willing to help those in need. She was employed at L.B. Manufacturing in Iberia for 13 years. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed working on puzzles and watching birds of all varieties. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished.
She is survived by her son, Brian (Marisa) Veasman of Iberia; two stepsons, Matt Lawson of Camdenton, and Will Lawson of Iberia; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Edward Pemberton; five sisters, Alma Hill, Betty (Berry) Blankenship, JoAnn Gallagher, and Linda Prather; brother, Burl (Wanda) Copeland; former spouse, Doyle Veasman; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Doug Lawson, daughter, Angela Pemberton; sister, Mona Jones; and brother, Charles "Don" Copeland.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Iberia Cemetery.
