Leonard Long, age 82, of Iberia, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012, at his home. He was born in Pulaski County on March 10, 1929, son of the late Willis and Dorca (McComb) Long. In 1956 Leonard married Mary Lee Luttrell, who survives at the home.
He is also survived by two sons, Rusty Long and wife Lawanna of Iberia and Tim Long and wife Sarah of Crocker; four grandchildren, Chasity England and husband Nick of Iberia, Evan Long and wife Barbie of Crocker, Brady Long of Crocker, and Bryan Brooks of Iberia; five great-grandchildren, Sage Long of Crocker, Brianna Long of Crocker, Adriana Long of Crocker, Eli Brooks of Iberia, and Ethan Brooks of Iberia; and two sisters, Bernadine Duncan and Wanda Mashburn both of Iberia.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Burgess.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 6, in Madden Cemetery near Iberia. Rev. Dennis Nichols will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Leonard Long Memorial Fund.
