Linda “Sue” Nixdorf, age 70, of Ulman, passed away on March 5, 2026, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Tuscumbia, on July 2, 1955, daughter of the late Herbert and Arzena (Stark) Nixdorf.

Sue attended the Ulman School until it closed. She completed her education at School of the Osage, graduating from the class of 1973. Sue was a bookkeeper for over 30 years at Port Arrowhead, Blue Moon Marina, and Control Heating and Cooling. She took great pride in her family and was respectfully known by many as “Aunt Sue”. When she was not working, Aunt Sue could be found at various school activities supporting her nieces and nephews, then later her great-nieces and great-nephews.

Sue was solid in her Christian faith. She was a member of the Ulman Christian Church and later attended Mt. Zion Christian Church in Tuscumbia.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Drace of Ulman; brother, Dennis Nixdorf of Ulman; eight nieces and nephews, Chuck (Kristie) Drace, Jason (Laura) Drace, Crystal (Randy) Bateman, Lucretia Drace, Tiffany (Kenny) Jones, Les (Lacie) Nixdorf, and Davey Drace; 16 great-nieces and great-nephews, Jared, Rachel, Hayden, Nick, Caleb, Traygen, Aaron, Emma, Trytten, Lillie, Alton, Lane, Alex, Brianna, Logan, and Holden; 6 great-great-nieces and nephews, Violet, Michael, Cash, Conley, Lydia, and Grady; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Arzena Nixdorf; two brothers, James and Perry Nixdorf; and one brother-in-law, Dave Drace.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 14, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Charlie Worstell officiating.

Following the funeral service, interment will take place at Gott Cemetery in Ulman. The honor of serving as pallbearers has been given to Traygen Whittle, Trytten Whittle, Aaron Wickham, Holden Drace, Hayden Drace, Alton Drace, Lane Nixdorf, and Logan Nixdorf.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a luncheon at Mt. Zion Christian Church in Tuscumbia following the graveside service.
