Lois Jean Comer, age 77, of Barnett, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Tipton Oak Manor. She was born in Brumley on December 5, 1939, daughter of the late Everett and Tilda (Shelton) Witt. On May 5, 1958, in Brumley, Lois married Raymond Comer, who survives at the home.

Lois was a loving and devoted mother and wife, who took great pride in caring for her family and their home. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing and reading. Lois was loyally devoted to her faith.

In addition to her loving husband Raymond, she is also survived by her two sons, Doug Comer and wife Tanya of Barnett and Mitch Comer and wife Sherry of Linn Creek; one daughter, Rama Parker and husband Steve of Eldon; four grandchildren, Jason Comer, Whitney Peer, Sierra Hylton, and Christina Parker; two great-grandchildren, Bryx and Clarke Peer; four brothers, Iven Witt and wife Joyce, Jerry Witt and wife Geneva, Jim Witt and wife Doris, and Alan Witt and wife Barb; and one sister, Brenda Strickland and husband Jerry.

She was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth Rodden, Irene McDowell, Grace York, Dean Plemmons, and Nora Rodden; and one brother, Doral Witt.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 18, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
