Lois Copeland, age 77, of Meta, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Iberia on February 28, 1938, daughter of the late Jack and Jewell (Sloan) Dake. On August 22, 1959, near Iberia, Lois married Muriel Copeland, who survives at the home.

Lois was a member of Mason Ridge Family Church.

In addition to her husband, Muriel, she is survived by two sons, Jim Copeland and Cindy Dworek of Vienna and Steve Copeland of Meta; one step-grandson, Dylan Dworek; two sisters, Wanda Copeland and husband Burl of Iberia; Alice Humphrey and husband Leland of Eldon; one brother, Jackie Dake and wife Judy of Iberia; one sister-in-law, Anette Dake and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Dake.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, October 2, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Freddie Earp will officiate. Interment will be in Dake Cemetery near Iberia.
