Lois Mae Wall, age 94, of Brumley, passed away Friday, January 7, 2011, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Iberia on July 22, 1916, daughter of the late Roscoe and Etta (Bailey) Roark. On May 5, 1934, in Iberia, Lois married Gail Glen Wall, who preceded her in death on February 21, 1966.
She worked at Kraml Wood Products for 20 years and retired in 1980. In 1970 at the age of 54, Lois proudly got her drivers license and bought her first and only car, a 1964 yellow Impala. In 1982, she sold her farm and moved next to her daughter Cathy, where she lived out the remainder of her life. She was baptized in the early 1960's. Lois was a member of Fairview Christian Church. She was a loving mother and caring grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Kennith Wall and wife Ann of Eldon and Bill Wall and wife Judy of Crocker; two daughters, Deloris Nelson and husband Earl of Crocker and Cathy Whitfield and husband Dean of Brumley; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bob Roark of Iberia and James Roark of Mountain Grove.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Gail Wall; two grandsons, Mike Wall and David Wall; two sisters, Anna Maude Smith and Grace Flaugher; and two brothers, Finnis Roark and Archie Roark.
Visitation will be from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.
