Lona Mary Catherine Ruch, age 90, of St. Elizabeth, Missouri, formerly of Old Appleton, Missouri, died Sunday, November 19, 2006, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born in Biehle, Missouri, on December 19, 1915, daughter of Isadore and Albertena Emma (Schemel) Ruch.
She retired from Carter Carburetor and moved to St. Elizabeth in 2002. She was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. She attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth.
Survivors include two sisters, Nora Kesel of St. Elizabeth and Grace Reiner of Kirkwood, Missouri; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Julius, Raymond, and Ludolf Ruch; and three sisters, Oliva Ruch, Clara Ruch, and Dora (Ruch) Howard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Missouri. Rev. Tony Dattilo will officiate. Interment will be in St. Maurus Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, at Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 24, at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Missouri, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
