Lorene Hagenhoff, of Meta, passed away on her 82nd birthday on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Jefferson City on August 21, 1944, daughter of the late Eugene David and Veronica “Fronie” Theresa (Gerling) Hendricks. On February 1, 1964, in Meta, Lorene was united in marriage to Delmar Paul Hagenhoff, who preceded her in death on February 27, 2002.

Lorene was a graduate of St. Elizabeth R-IV. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She especially enjoyed watching westerns and taking trips to the gambling boats. These favorite pastimes brought her happiness and created many cherished memories with those who knew and loved her, especially her children and grandchildren.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother whose family meant the world to her. Lorene’s kindness, warmth, and love for those closest to her will remain in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. The memories shared throughout the years will be treasured always, and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Cathy (David) Grieshammer, and Wanda Holt; son, Mike (Tina) Hagenhoff; eight grandchildren, Corey Wulff, Emily Grieshammer, Josh Grieshammer, Shelby Branson, Kyle Wulff, Sara Grieshammer, Eugene Hagenhoff, Dean Hagenhoff; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Surface and Nancy Gragert; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her two brothers, David Hendricks and Louis Hendricks.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m., on Thursday, August 27, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta with Fr. Leonard Mukiibi officiating. Interment will be held in St. Cecilia Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Cecilia Cemetery.
