Louisa Russell, age 95, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation.  She was born in Iberia on May 25, 1929, daughter of the late William Albert and Viola Luttrell.

Louisa enjoyed time spent quilting, creating countless keepsakes. She always welcomed the company of family and friends and loved hosting family dinners and celebrations.  Louisa was devoted to her faith and took pleasure in reading her bible.  She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Brumley.

She is survived by four sons, Gene (Carol) Russell, Rick (Patty) Russell, Randy (Toni) Russell, and J.D. (Gail) Russell; daughter, Cathy Whittle of Brumley; son-in-law, Mark Beabout; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Myra Heckert; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Geraldine "Gerry" Russell and Joyce Beabout; six sisters, Rosetta, Marie, Fannie, Wanda, Mary, and Shirely; and two brothers, John Luttrell and Vernon Luttrell.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Thursday, August 8, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Greg Huddleston and Dennis Nichols officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Union Cemetery or the Alzheimer's Association.
