Lucas Edward Heckethorn, age 44, of Iberia, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 7, 2025.  He was born in Jefferson City on November 12, 1980, son of Omar Heckethorn and Deborah Jean (Pendleton) Ash.

Lucas cherished spending time with his family and found great joy in making memories with his grandchildren, Harper and Ava.  He enjoyed watching sports, especially the WWE, and was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Raiders.

He is survived by his mother, Deb Ash; children, Madison Heckethorn, Erica Hook, Quinton Hook, and Johnathan Heckethorn; grandchildren, Harper and Ava; siblings, Allen Ash, Melissa Ash (Justin), Michael Pendleton (Starla), Virginia Long (Shannon), Kylee Long (Travis), Stephanie Ash, Charley (Don) Huss, Donita (Anthony) Burgess, and Omar Heckethorn, Jr.; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Omar Heckethorn; stepfather, Jessey Allen Ash; paternal grandparents, Porter and Virginia Heckethorn, and maternal grandparents, Charles and Geraldine Pendleton.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, August 13, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Dennis Nichols officiating.  Interment will be held at Red Cemetery near Iberia.
