Lucille Wieberg, age 94, of Koeltztown, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on March 4, 1919, daughter of the late John and Florence (Goodrich) Casey. She was united in marriage on August 13, 1941, in St. Anthony to Jerome August Wieberg who preceded her in death on July 10, 2000.

Mrs. Wieberg started working at the Tweedie Shoe Factory, she later taught First, Second, and Third grade at St. Boniface Catholic School in Koeltztown. After teaching she worked for the Garment Factory in Meta.

She was a member of the Argyle VFW Post 8045 Ladies Auxillary and St. Boniface Catholic Church in Koeltztown, where she was active in making quilts for the parish.

She is survived by three sons, Gerald Wieberg (Dorothy) of Wardsville, Gary Wieberg (Irene) of Taos, and Robert Wieberg of the home; six grandchildren Jerome Wieberg (Julie) of St. Thomas, Dennis Wieberg (Becky) of Springfield, William Wieberg (Stacie) of Tuscumbia, Lori Owen (Curtis) of St. Thomas, Michael Wieberg (Jackie) St. Thomas, and Susan Boessen (Gregg) of St. Thomas; 15 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Eastwood (Jack) of Manson, Iowa; and one brother, Patrick Casey (Mary) of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine Gehlhausen, Wilma Wieberg, Leona Wieberg, and Donna May Dopp, and four brothers, Donald Casey, John Casey, George Casey, and Leo Casey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Koeltztown. Msgr. Marion Makarewicz will officiate. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., on Friday, January 3, 2014, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Koeltztown.
