Macala Lynn Shelton, age 13, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Iberia. She was born in Ft. Leonard Wood on December 29, 1999, daughter of Scottie Ross Shelton and Melissa Renae Butler Henderson.
Macala was a very quiet and loving girl who loved reading books and cats. She played on the Iberia Stingers Softball Team. Macala attended Iberia
R-V and was going to be a freshman this fall.
She is survived by her mother, Melissa Henderon and husband Jerry Lee II of Iberia; father, Scottie Shelton of Crocker; five siblings, Kylee Rae Shelton, Kaytlyn Belle Shelton, Cody Dale Henderson, Brieanna Lee Henderson, and Jerry Lee "LJ" Henderson III; and many relatives, family, and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bill Claiborn and Dan Livingston will officiate. Interment will be held in Hawkins Cemetery near Iberia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Macala Shelton Memorial Fund.
