Marcus Dale Branch, age 51, of Brinktown, died Wednesday, September 19, 2007, in Brinktown. He was born in Tuscumbia on May 3, 1956, son of William "Bill" and Genevieve (Scheulen) Branch. His mother survives in Meta and his father survives in Jefferson City. On May 10, 1986, in Miller County, he was married to Denise Ann Wagner, who survives at the home.

He was a volunteer fireman for the Dixon Fire Department and loved nature and all of God's creatures.

Other survivors include one daughter, Stacey Branch of Brinktown; two sons, Brandon Branch of Brinktown and Dereck Branch; one stepson, Martin Wells of Vienna; five brothers, Warren Branch and wife Vicky of Grove Springs, Larry Branch of Jefferson City, Darrell Branch and companion Renee of Jefferson City, Jerry Branch and wife Elaine of Jefferson City, and Kevin Branch and wife Kelly of Jefferson City; one sister, Debra Barnett and husband Ricky of Lebanon; three half-sisters, Rachel, Cherrl, and Ester; and one half-brother, Paul Fuller of the State of California.

He was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Raymond and Faye Branch; one nephew, Travis Barnett; maternal grandparents, George and Elizabeth Scheulen; and paternal grandparents, Roy and Pearl Branch.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, at Rekus Funeral Home in Meta. Pastor Gerald Scheperle will officiate.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
