Margaret Jeanette (Howell) Rookard, age 75, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the St. Elizabeth Care Center in St. Elizabeth, Missouri. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 13, 1950, daughter of the late Samuel Darby and Dorothy (Bloyer) Howell.

Her fearless nature and welcoming spirit allowed her to form deep connections with so many; she was so loved. Margaret’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving lasting memories cherished by friends and family alike.

She is survived by her children, Dana Bush and Dorene Newby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Rookard.

No Services are planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
