Margie Lois McDowell, age 51, of Brumley, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at her home. She was born in Crocker on February 9, 1955, a daughter of Bert and Myrtle (Luttrell) McComb. She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe McDowell. They were married on September 8, 1983, in Ulman.
She was a homemaker and a member of Honey Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, and sister.
Other survivors include three sons, Mitchell Estill of Warrensburg, George Miller of LaMonte, and Christopher Humphrey of Brumley; three daughters, Myrtle McDowell of Brumley, Lisa Thomas of Eldon, and Rachel Humphrey of Brumley; four brothers, Bill McComb of Iberia and Harold McComb, Leonard McComb, and Chester McComb all of Brumley; five sisters, Helen Cobarrubias of Sedalia, Thelma Ash of Brumley, Gertie Henderson of Ulman, Glotha Durham of Brumley, and Beverly Guehrer of Vandalia; eight grandchildren and one step grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy Durham and one brother, Charles McComb.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 12 noon on Tuesday, April 11, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Dennis Nichols officiating. Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley.
