Marian Mildred Spencer Cooke, age 85, of Iberia formerly of Manasquan, New Jersey, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, on July 24, 1926, daughter of the late Gustave and Mildred (Kegel) Spencer. Marian married Kenneth Cooke, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Marian spent most of her life successfully raising their four children and loving their eight grandchildren. She devoted her life to providing a warm, welcoming home and plenty of food to her family and friends, as well as a comforting lap and a lullaby to all of their babies along the way. Marian went home on September 17, 2011, to join her loved ones who have gone before, and to prepare the table for those of us who will be coming along later.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Cooke and wife Julia and Kevin Cooke and wife Cindy all of Iberia; two daughters, Susan Domas and husband Chris of Wall, New Jersey and Valerie Domas and husband Joseph of Point Pleasant, New Jersey; eight grandchildren, Jason Cooke, Christopher Cooke, Eric Cooke, Adam Cooke, Kerry Domas, Rebecca Domas, Scott Domas, and Gregg Domas; and one sister, Jan Snyder of Sarasota, Florida.
Services will be held on Tuesday, September 27, at West Belmar United Methodist Church in Wall, New Jersey. Interment will be in BG William Doyle Veteran's Cemetery.
