Marilyn Ann Bax, age 68, of Meta, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Jefferson City on June 15, 1954, daughter of the late Lawrence Stephen and Bernadine Ann (Werdehausen) Otto.  On June 5, 1976, Marilyn was united in marriage to Gayle Bax, who survive at their home.

Marilyn was always quick to smile and loved her family unconditionally, especially her grandsons.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and had a passion for scrapbooking, embroidering, and dancing. She was a faithful member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta.

In addition to her husband, Gayle, she is also survived by her son, Justin (Ashley) Bax; daughter, Danielle (Brad) Luecke; three grandsons, Kayden Bax, Dylan Luecke, and Kyler Luecke; five brothers, Kenny (Leona) Otto, Donnie Otto, Eugene Otto, Dennis Otto, and Glenn Otto; sisters and brothers-in-law, George (Sharon) Bax, Genise (Joe) Buechter, Glenda (Bruce) Kemna, and Jerry (Sarah) Bax; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her nephew, Scott Otto and sister-in-law, Donna Otto.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta with Fr. Leonard Mukiibi officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Cecilia Cemetery in Meta.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., with a prayer service at 3:45 p.m., on Sunday, August 14, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Meta.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Marilyn Bax Memorial Fund.
