Marilyn Virginia (Boyd) Lawson, age 84, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021, at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. She was born in Miller County on March 5, 1937, daughter of the late Belvia and Thelma (Clark) Boyd.
Marilyn was an avid reader. She was employed as a nurse for the Miller County Health Department for 30 years. Marilyn was a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle Church.
She is survived one son, Steve Lawson (Karen) of Dixon, two daughters, Shelly Howe (Jeff) of Versailles and Dana Carson of Dixon; grandchildren, Derek Pendleton, Travis Lawson, Tasheena Carson, Danielle Howe, Logan Howe, Nicole Craig, and Maegan Carson; 11 great-grandchildren sister, Rhonda McCutcheon; brother, Roger Boyd; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Vernon Boyd; one sister, Brenda Ewan; grandchild, Taylor Carson; and one great-grandchild, Bentley Lawson.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, at Dick-Lawson Cemetery with Duncan Skiles officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Dick Lawson Cemetery.
