Obituary

Marilyn Schulenberg, age 67, of Kansas City, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Kindred Hospital Northland in Kansas City. She was born in Osage County on December 21, 1947, daughter of the late Anton and Hilda Meta (Schriefer) Schulenberg.

Marilyn was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Denver Broncos. In her free time Marilyn enjoyed baking. She was raised in St. John's Lutheran Church in Babbtown.
She was a 1965 graduate of Fatima High School.

Marilyn worked for the State of Missouri for a few years before taking a job with the federal government. She was a secretary/administrative assistant working in Kansas City, Denver and Washington DC for over 38 years retiring in 2002. She returned to Kansas City five years ago.

She is survived by two sisters, Judy Shenefield of Weston and Donna Clithero and husband Philip of Columbia; one brother-in-law, Fred Snider of Independence; one sister-in-law, Nelda Witham of Lee's Summit; nine nieces and nephews; twenty great-nieces and nephews; eight great-great-nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Schulenberg; one sister, Jackie Snider; and one brother-in-law, Larry Shenefield.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 13, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta. Rev. Russ Bowder will officiate. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Babbtown.
