Obituary

Mark S. Oligschlaeger, age 65, of St. Elizabeth, departed this life on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at his home. He was born in Tuscumbia on January 10, 1956, son of the late Lawrence and Ursuline (Wilde) Oligschlaeger. On October 8, 1977, in Folk, Mark was united in marriage to Mary Temmen, who survives at their home.

Mark retired from Fabick in 2019 after 39 years of employment. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. His favorite pastime was spent hunting, spending time with his grandchildren at "Grumpy Grandpa's Daycare" and attending their various activities and sporting events. Mark was a member of St. Elizabeth Knights of Columbus and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth.

In addition to his wife, Mary Oligschlaeger, he is also survived by two sons, Matt (Kim) Oligschlaeger and Tim (Jennifer) Oligschlaeger both of St. Elizabeth; daughter, Hannah (Brad) Libbert of St. Elizabeth; nine grandchildren, Shelby, Addie, Colby, Morgan, Mya and Alayna Oligschlaeger, Emilia, Maryn and Maevry Libbert; five siblings, Paul (Margaret) Oligschlaeger, Betty (Gilbert) Schellman, Carol (John) Otto, Bob (Carla) Oligschlaeger, and Donna Joannes; mother-in-law, Margie Temmen; eight in-laws, Shirley (Roger) Kliethermes, Kenny (Carla) Temmen, Norb (Diane) Temmen, Peggy (David) Roberds, Jane (Doug) Abbott, Gary (Kim) Temmen, Roger (Suzanne) Temmen, Joan (Stanley) Deeken; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Maverick Libbert and father-in-law, Ben Temmen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, May 19, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth with Fr. Joby Thomas and Fr. Greg Oligschlaeger officiating. Interment will be held in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 5 p.m., on Tuesday, May 18, at the church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Lawrence Cemetery Trust.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth.
