Marilyn Stevinson, age 83, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia.  She was born in Warsaw on February 25, 1939, daughter of the late Roy and Mabel (Graves) Freund.  On January 24, 1970, Marilyn was united in marriage to Jay Allen Stevinson, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1978.

Marilyn had an unconditional love for her family, especially for her grandchildren.  In her final days she was surrounded with loved ones and was blessed with compassionate care from the staff at the nursing home and hospice.

She is survived by two daughters, Sally McKee and Jamie (Jim) Gearing; Janet (Randy) Duncan and Debra (David) Byers; eleven grandchildren, Chris Duncan, Courtney Liedel, Nick Byers, Casey Mason, Carsen Duncan, Sam McKee, Grace McKee, Savannah Howard, Elizabeth Gearing, Ryleigh Gearing, and Mason Gearing; seven great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Rusten, Waylon, Kamryn, Makinlee, Catherine, and Blue; brother, Joe Freund; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Edgar, Roy, and Larry Freund and son-in-law, Bill McKee.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Freddie Earp officiating.  A private family interment will be held 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw on Thursday, December 29, 2022.
