Mary Crider, age 79, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Maries Manor in Vienna.  She was born in Maries County on August 16, 1945, daughter of the late Ray and Lucille (Fisher) Thompson.  On June 12, 1965, Mary was united in marriage to Harold James Crider, who preceded her in death on February 2, 2023.

Mary enjoyed working in her flower gardens, having at one time created a large garden of wildflowers that was a true work of art.  She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  "Grandma's" cinnamon rolls and homemade bread were something everyone looked forward to.

She is survived by three children, Robin Howser and husband Billy, Kelly Knowles, and Norman Crider and wife Angela; 10 grandchildren, Beth, Jessica (Jeffrey), Logan, Anna, Katie, Dayle, Broderick, Callie, DJ, and Will; honorary granddaughter, Grace; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Nancy) Thompson and Ronnie (Donna) Thompson; life-long friend, Mary Spencer; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Harold Crider, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Desi and four brothers, Leo, Bill, Marvin, and Lonnie.

Mary's final wishes were to be cremated.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
