Mary Elizabeth (Ferguson) Hammack, age 97, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Iberia, on May 3, 1919, daughter of the late Harry and Ella (Skaggs) Ferguson. On June 23, 1934, in Iberia, Mary married Archie Ulysses Hammack, who preceded her in death on July 16, 1969.

Mary was an inspector at L.B. Manufacturing in Iberia and head of housekeeping at The Inn at the Grand Glaze and Hawks Nest at Osage Beach.

Mary was a member of the Iberia Methodist Church, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hattitude Club and the I.C.C. Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Joy Reichert of Iberia; two daughters-in-law, Connie Hammack and ReVae Hammack; three grandchildren, Tim Hammack and wife Stephanie, Kelly Hammack and wife Jan, and Ginger Reichert; five great-grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth Johnson, Carrie Hammack, Riley Hammack, Kelsey Hammack and Amy Hammack; one great-great-grandchild, Bryn Hammack; one sister, Dr. Elma Armistead; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband Archie, she was also preceded in death by her two sons, Roger Hammack and John "Ferg" Hammack and seven brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Monday, February 6, 2017, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Paul Prater will officiate. Interment will be held in Iberia Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
