Mary Eleanor Herx, age 74, of St. Anthony, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia.  She was born in Iberia on April 15, 1948, daughter of the late Lawrence Pete and Josephine Ann (Buechter) Herx.

Mary enjoyed baking cookies, embroidering, quilting, fishing, and was famous for her sweet tea.  She loved helping with and attending the St. Anthony dinners and cherished the moments spent with her family and friends.  Mary was a faithful Christian and devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

She is survived by two brothers, Jerry (Dorathey) Herx and Larry (Diane) Herx both of St. Anthony; two sisters, Louise (Dave) Hagenhoff of Russellville and Patsy (Mark) Voss of St. Anthony; brother-in-law, Ben Voss; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Herx, Ralph Herx, and Tom Herx; sister, Genevieve Voss; and niece, Michelle Herx.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, June 24, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony.  Interment will be held in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mary Herx Memorial Fund.
