Mary Jo Kettinger, age 80, of Brumley, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach.  She was born on January 21, 1943, daughter of the late, Joseph Paul Mercurio and Virginia Grace (Nichols) Surbaugh.  On March 2, 1991, Mary was united in marriage to Gaylon Dee Kettinger, who preceded her in death on January 4, 2021.

Mary worked alongside her mother, Virginia, at the beauty salon they owned and operated, Lakeside Beauty.   She enjoyed cooking and was an avid animal lover.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Pemberton and Aaron Pemberton; her daughter, Pepper (Kevin) Smart; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Sue Baysinger and Nancy Lee (Steve) Bateman; and numerous family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bill Duncan.

Mary's wishes were to be cremated.  No services are planned at this time.
