Mary Gwendolyn Mace, age 77, of Jefferson City, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at her home. She was born in Iberia, on October 10, 1948, daughter of the late Maurice Eugene and Eunice (McKee) Mace.

Mary devoted her entire working career to the State of Missouri and was a faithful member of Brays Advent Christian Church and the Iberia Eastern Star, where she found fellowship and lasting friendship.

She loved her family deeply, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she cherished as if they were her very own.

She is survived by her brother, Eugene (Vicki) Mace; nieces and nephews, Shannon Mace, Joey Mace and wife Pam, Amanda (Mace) DeGraffenreid husband Bryan, and Nick Mace; seven great-nieces and nephews, Marriah, Zachary, Ian, Maddox, Zoe, Jackson, and Emerson; and a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Mace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
