Melissa Ann Weems

Melissa Ann Weems, age 52, of Iberia, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. She was born in Tuscumbia on November 3, 1973. On December 31, 1999, at Faith Tabernacle Church, Melissa was united in marriage to Scotty Ray Weems, who survives at their home.

Melissa worked at Dixon Tire and Auto as the office manager, where her dedication and organizational skills were greatly valued. Previously, she was employed at Iberia Tire and Auto. Melissa had an adventurous spirit with a passion for nature and outdoors. She loved to fish, camp, and go on float trips, and taking trips to the beach, creating countless cherished memories with her loved ones.

In addition to her husband, Scotty, she is also survived by her daughters, Alicia May Rowden and Stacie Ann Shoemaker; son, Stihl Doba; grandchildren, Mason, Kailee, Abby, Adrian, Nicholas, and Mavis; great-grandson, Elijah Ray Rowden; and her siblings, Sheena (AJ) Cato, CJ (Candra) LaBrot, Melinda LaBrot, and Chuck (Nikki) Labrot. She is also survived by her mother, Sheila LaBrot, who she affectionately called “mommy”; her uncle, Terry Rowden, who she always considered more of a brother than an uncle; aunt, Betty Drace; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman and Luella Rowden; sister, Rachel Duncan and her husband Jaeson; and her uncle, Pete Drace.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Lloyd Maddox officiating. Interment will be held in Brays Cemetery near Iberia.
