Melva Sue (DeVore) Plemmons, age 79, of Brumley, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Brumley on September 25, 1935, daughter of the late Rawl and Alma Ann (Hedrick) DeVore. On February 2, 1952, in Salem, Arkansas, Melva was united in marriage by Judge Lester Collins to Ernest Junior Plemmons, who survives at the home.

Melva was a member of Ulman Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her husband, Junior, she is survived by three daughters, Gwendolyn Sue Bunich (Joseph) of Basehor, KS, Carol June Meyer (Tommy) of Iberia, and Sheila Yvonne Plemmons of Ulman; four grandchildren, Travis Lynn Meyer (Rogetta) of Brumley, Brian Joseph Bunich (Lisa) of Kansas City, KS, Brandi Nicole Cochran (Trenton) of Brumley, and Evan Christopher Meyer (Christie) of Lake Ozark; eight grea-grandchildren, Alexis Grace Meyer, Madalynne Marie Meyer, Kaden James Cochran, Olivia Renee Meyer, Carly Dale Meyer, Lanee Thomasine Bunich, Keaton James Cochran, Alexandra Joy Rodden; one brother, Gary DeVore (Carolyn) of Brumley, and one sister, Colleen O'Dell of Brumley; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rawl and Alma DeVore, one great-granddaughter, Abigail Alexis Meyer, five siblings, Ruth Duncan, Maxine Fry, Ruby Whittle, Billie Luttrell, and Jimmy DeVore.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., with services immediately following at 4 p.m., on Saturday, September 19, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Kevin Blackburn will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
