Meredith Ann Wilson, age 67, of Iberia, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Buckner on August 13, 1946, daughter of the late William and Leona (Hufford) Edwards. On October 16, 1965, in Wellington, Meredith married Robert "Bob" Vaught Wilson, who survives at the home.
Meredith owned and operated Wilson's Tax Service. She served as Grand Martha of the Grand Chapter of Missouri order of the Eastern Star. She was active in the Cole County Farmers Market and was a member of the Red Hats, Holly Guild Club and Hard Timers Group. Meredith supported and participated in the American Cancer Society.
Meredith was a member of the Iberia United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to all.
She is also survived by one son, Robert "Bobby" Wilson and wife Gayle of Lowndes; one daughter, Melissa Hall and husband Jon of Iberia; four grandchildren, Savannah Wilson, Autumn Wilson, Garrett Hall, and Makayla Hall; one brother, Billy Edwards of Wellington; one sister, Bonnie Good of Wellington; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Ellen Hoff will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, September 3, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Meredith Wilson Memorial Fund.
