Michael "Mikey" Prather, age 62, of Iberia, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010. He was born in Waynesville on June 18, 1947, son of the late Lee and Florence (Becker) Prather. In 2007 Michael married Juanita Smith who survives at the home.

He was employed as a chef at the Old Smorgasbord and most recently owned and operated Mikey's One Stop in Iberia. Mikey was a member of the Iberia Masonic Lodge 410 AF & AM, Shriners of Springfield, and a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

He is also survived by one son, Mark Prather and wife Marinda of Iberia; two daughters, Angie Blagden and husband Tyler of Camdenton and Sheri Harenza and husband Mark of Iberia; five step-daughters; six grandchildren, Christopher Prather, Stephanie Prather, Macy Prather, Seth Prather, Taylor Owenby, and Logan Owenby; 12 step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; one step-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Buck Prather and wife Kathryn and Bill Prather and wife Connie all of Iberia; two sisters, Ann Wehrmann and husband Bob of Tennessee and Martha Denton of Fulton; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Lynn Prather and one sister, Florence Lee Prather.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Glen Golden will officiate. Interment with military honors under the direction of the Iberia VFW Post 6167 and American Legion Post 105 will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m., on Friday, May 28, at the funeral home.
