Micheal “Mike” Edward Moore, age 70, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was born on November 30, 1955, son of the late Jesse Moore and Virgie (Wall) Richards. On November 12, 1976, in Iberia, Mike was united in marriage to Charolette Adams, who survives at their home.

Mike was employed at Iberia Auto Supply for 10 years and enjoyed a fulfilling career working in the management department at O’Reilly Auto Parts for over 30 years before retiring. Mike dedicated countless hours in his garage, carefully bringing vintage vehicles back to life. His attention to detail and love for craftsmanship were evident in every restoration project, and he often shared his enthusiasm for classic automobiles with friends and family. Mike took great pride in owning his collection of tri-five Chevys, which were among his most treasured possessions. He was an avid sports fan and shared his passion for sports with his grandson, Braxton. They would often text each other updates and stats and they especially loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.

Above all, Mike deeply valued the time he spent with his family. Whether they were enjoying vacations together, supporting his grandchildren at their sporting events, or celebrating holidays, these moments brought him immense joy, as did his notorious love for ice cream. His devotion to his loved ones and the memories they created together were at the heart of his life.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mike was a devoted member of Iberia First Baptist Church, actively participating in church activities and serving as a valued part of the congregation.

In addition to his loving wife, Charolette Moore, he is also survived by his son, Evan Moore and wife Lacey of Richland; granddaughter, Brooklyn Moore; grandson, Braxton Moore; brother Bruce (Lisa) Moore; brother-in-law, Raymond (Jennifer) Adams; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Bryan) McConnell; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved daughter, Leslie Moore.

Funeral service for Mike will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Iberia First Baptist Church with Roy Bryant officiating. Interment will be held in Madden Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Iberia First Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Madden Cemetery.
