Mildred Eiffert Atwell, age 90, of Leawood, Kansas, died June 12, 2007, at Galway Home in Leawood. She was born in Miller County on March 21, 1917, a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Emma J. (Jarrett) Sloan. On April 19, 1941, in Lancaster, she was married to Carl Eiffert, who preceded her in death on October 24, 1993. On January 31, 1998, in Dixon, she was married to Harry Atwell, who also preceded her in death on October 13, 2005.

She was a member of Dixon Church of Christ.

Those who survive her include: three nieces, Kay Clark Watson of Raytown, Karen Vigil of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kyla Rountree of Sparta, Illinois; three great nieces, five great nephews, great-great nephews and other family and friends.

Two sisters, Brooksie Smiley and Thelma Law, one great nephew, Kerry Clark and one nephew-in-law, Clifford O. Clark, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, with services immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Jack Williams will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.
