Misty Dawn Smith, age 45, of St. Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at her home. She was born in Jefferson City on March 21, 1969, daughter of the late Don Ellis and Theresa Diane "Stormey" Smith.
Misty moved to St. Elizabeth to work and raise her four children. She loved her family and friends and always welcomed everyone that came through her door where she and her family spent many years making great memories. She will be dearly missed by all who have had the honor to cross her path in her life.
She was a member of the Cowboy Christian Church near Iberia.
Misty is survived by her significant other, Steven Vincent Siebert of St. Elizabeth; four children, Gustus Monroe Siebert and Maggie Sholes of Springfield, Johnny Vincent Siebert of Springfield, Jesse Colebane Siebert, and Ciara Dawn Siebert of St. Elizabeth; one brother, Dustin Smith and wife Amber of Desloge; one sister, Tina Thomas and husband Dave of Florida; three "sisters" Becky Keeran, Cheryl Hendricks, and Ellen Helton; stepmom, Pat Smith of Desloge; two uncles, John Michael Smith and Roger Dale Smith; one grandfather, Carl Holden; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn Hodel, Ellis Logan Smith and Betty Lou Smith; and her beloved dog, Hootch.
A Celebration of Misty's Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Community Center. A dinner will be held following the memorial service.
