Obituary

Nicholas H. Wieberg, age 57, of St. Anthony, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009, at his home. He was born in Iberia on January 24, 1952, son of Leo John and Marie Katherine (Buechter) Wieberg. On September 25, 1971, in Freeburg he married Margaret Mary Welschmeyer, who survives at the home.

Through the years Nick enjoyed flying his private plane, supported the 4-H and the FFA, and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Nicholas was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

He is also survived by his mother, Marie Wieberg of St. Anthony; two daughters, Christa Wieberg of Jefferson City and Jessica Wieberg and fiancé John Kozel of Columbia; two sons, Jacques Wieberg and wife Julie of Jefferson City and Benjamin Wieberg of St. Anthony; one brother Joe Wieberg and wife Angie of Jefferson City; eight sisters, Rita Stahl and husband Larry of Kansas City, Kansas, Maryln Luetkemeyer and husband Dick of St. Charles, Jane Dalba and husband Carmen of St. Louis, Loretta Kolb and husband Bill of Amarillo, Texas, Lorraine Riley and husband Jack of Jefferson City, Evelyn Wieberg and Donnie Holtmeyer of Holts Summit, Virginia Kirvan and Brian Gerard of Sunrise Beach, and Freda Schanzmeyer and husband Mike of Taos; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jennifer Wieberg and father, Leo Wieberg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony. Fr. Daniel Lueckenotte and Fr. Joe Welschmeyer will officiate. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, at the St. Anthony Parish Hall with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
