Nina Pendleton, age 87, of Dixon, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, at her home. She was born in Maries County on December 5, 1927, daughter of the late Elmer and Bertie (Burnham) Blankenship. On August 8, 1948, in Waynesville, Nina married Charles Lindbergh Pendleton, who preceded her in death on February 12, 2015.
Nina was a member of Wheeler Church of Christ. She loved spending time outdoors working in her garden, mushroom hunting and watching hummingbirds.
Nina is survived by three sons, Danny (Bev) Pendleton, Sammy (Sharon) Pendleton, Timmy (Merrie) Pendleton; five daughters Debbie (Kenneth) Dake, Charlotte (Dick) Wilde, Patti (Marty) Bowden, Alice (Kenny) Loethen, and Jamie (Jimmy) Cochran; 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter D'Ann Dake, great grand-daughter, Kinley Lundquist; two brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 12 (noon) to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, March 11, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Manuel Seaton will officiate. Interment will be in Dick Lawson Cemetery near Iberia.
