Norma Nickell Hodge

Norma A. Nickell Hodge, age 91, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on April 12, 1934, daughter of the late William Albert and Sylvia Mae (Davis) Boulware. On January 1, 1959, she was united in marriage to Cecil Nickell, who preceded her in death on February 3, 2000. On May 12, 2002, Norma was united in marriage to Jim Hodge, who preceded her in death on August 29, 2012.

She is survived by three children, Roger Nickell, Glenda Mutrux, and Rhonda Shay; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Nellie Boulware, William Everett Boulware, Ruby McKinnon, Clarence Boulware, James Boulware, Ruth Pierce, Willis Boulware, Wilma Davis, Georgia Boulware, and Kenneth Boulware; son, Richard Nickell; great-grandson, Michael Nickell; and two great-granddaughters, Hadley Smith and Daliha Martin.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Lloyd Wood officiating. Interment will be held in Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.
