Norma Jean Shelton, age 81, of Iberia, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at her home. She was born near Iberia on November 25, 1925, daughter of Elmont Norwood and Stella (Povolish) Clark, both deceased. On September 28, 1948, in Bentonville, Arkansas, she was married to Carl Huber Shelton, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1988.
She was a homemaker and attended Pleasant Hill Christian Church near Iberia.
Survivors include one son, Russell Shelton of Iberia; two brothers, Norwood Clark, Jr., of Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, and Kenneth Clark of Springfield; one sister, Vera Strutton of Iberia; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Stan Way will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Norma Jean Shelton Memorial Fund.
