Oliver "Sonny" Bryant Amos, age 84, of Brumley, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Stone Bridge Living Center in Osage Beach.  He was born on June 11, 1938, son of the late William Bryant Amos and Naomi (Burton) Ash.

Oliver served in the United States Army from 1961 until his honorable discharge on August 28, 1963.

He is survived by three sons, David Amos, Gary (Jeanne) Amos, and Anthony Amos; five grandchildren, Shawna Amos, Alicia Kindhart, Gary Amos Jr., William Amos, and Joseph Amos; six great-grandchildren; six siblings, Carol Amos, Sharon Knotts, Diann (Larry) Prater, Reta (Jim) McKee, Glenda (Doug) Duncan, and Terry (David Foreman) Wells; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Bryant Amos; mother, Naomi Ash and husband Walter; and four brothers, David, Phillip, Billy, and Jody.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, August 12, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Brian Duncan officiating.  Interment with military honors will be held at Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
